MORNING CIRCLE ACTIVITIES
"Circle Time"
During our morning circle routine we practice the date, days of the week; letter, color, shape and number of the week, name recognition and weather.  We also do our story time which includes a book aligned with our theme and weekly curriculum.  Also, stories that have a concentration in phonogram and consonant enrichment are read and a copy is sent home in the children's weekly homework bag.  


ACTIVITIES OF CHOICE
These are activities that are available to the children for independent learning strategies.  The activities are geared toward problem solving, self-expression and task mastery.  Listed are some of the activities the children have to choose from: technology or listening station, writing lab, file folder games, handwriting practice via personalized practice materials, sight word magnet board or pocket chart, choice of areas designated for small group reading.

**Restroom breaks are given as needed in addition to scheduled potty breaks
**Schedule may change if there is an activity that children are involved in that exceeds the time slot given (we learn based on encouragement not force)
**Times for outdoor play are granted based on weather, times will be adjusted as needed
